VEER LOFTS
The design of VEER began with the decision to create a residential mixture of lofts and flats that would take advantage of the available structure height (85’) and recent building code changes. This was accomplished using an innovative heavy timber structural system with framed bearing walls combined with concrete elements. The building combines architectural references to the neighborhood’s industrial heritage, unusual construction and dramatic living spaces. With ground floor residences carefully sited to maintain a sense of privacy, high-ceilinged one and two story lofts, flats and open plans; the building is designed to offer first-time home buyers an exceptional range of options. The unique floor system of heavy timber and concrete was developed in collaboration with our structural and acoustic engineers.
