CENTER FOR WOODEN BOATS
The Pavilion for the Center for Wooden Boats was designed to provide a gateway to this nautical “living museum” and a place to display their most delicate and historic watercraft. The Pavilion was designed to provide a lesson in heavy timber marine construction and was built by students in the wooden boat construction program at Seattle Central Community College. The Pavilion incorporates sculptures by local artists and was chosen as the site to display the America’s Cup on its tour through the United States.
