MISSION INN
The Mission Inn is a 36-bedroom hotel on Capitol Hill in Seattle, reminiscent of the mission-style architecture of California. Johnson Oaklief Architecture and Planning was tasked with converting the building into highly efficient apartment units geared towards lower income tenants. Great care was taken to preserve the existing facade while completely renovating the interior. Working with the existing floor structure, partition walls were entirely demolished and replaced and all new building systems were installed.
