Queen Anne High School Rehabilitation

QUEEN ANNE HIGH SCHOOL

The historic Queen Anne High School is a collection of structures dating from 1909 to 1952. The complex was converted into housing in the 1980’s and has now been fully renovated and restored as condominiums. Our work includes entirely new residential interiors, common areas and exterior restoration. Of particular importance to JOAP’s work is the correction of two significant mistakes from the 1986 conversion: the re-opening of the main entrance through the grand, columned portico and the replacement of a facade on the 1920’s-era addition. The structures are on the National Register of Historic Places and are Seattle Landmark structures.
